Analog to Digital with DUBturbo no comments
Analog signals are easier to p
rocess, and in theory have unlimited resolution in real-world conditions. Digital signals do not deteriorate the way analog signals do. Digital signals have become more and more common in the information age, but analog signals continue to be used in many applications. Analog signals are often converted to digital signals with a device appropriately called an analog-to-digital converter. The analog or continuous signal is changed to a discrete, binary signal. You can reverse the process, changing a digital signal into an analog signal with a digital-to-analog converter. Software like DUBturbo provide ways for digital signals to be manipulated, such as through filtering and audio compression. Audio compression is very useful for a lot of applications, including music. Compressing the signal reduces the bandwidth requirements of digital audio streams and the storage size of data files. These applications are helpful when you are building a large music library to be stored on a computer hard drive or a USB flash drive.
